` Moneytalk: ATM guide to right issue

There was a full page advertisement made by CapitaCommericial Trust on their coming rights issue on the Straits Times and there was a useful step by step guide on how to use the different ATMs for the different banks to apply for the rights so I thought that it will be useful to reproduce it as a reference.

1. Navigation Guide for DBS/POSB ATMs
-Insert DBS or POSB ATM Card
-Enter PIN
-Select "More Services"
-Select "ESA-IPO Share/SGS/Investments"
-Select "Rights Appln"
-Select the counter which you want

2. Navigation Guide for OCBC ATMs
-Insert OCBC ATM Card
-Enter PIN
-Select "Other Services"
-Select "Shares"
-Select "Rights Appln"
-Select the counter which you want

3. Navigation Guide for UOB ATMs
-Insert UOB ATM Card
-Enter PIN
-Select "Cashcard/Other Trans"
-Select "Other Trans"
-Select "Rights/Warrant Application"
-Select the counter which you want

For ATM applications, please note that you have to enter the exact number of Rights Units you wish to accept and/or the exact number of Excess Rights Units you wish to apply and not the number of board lots you wish to accept and/or apply. Applications through ATMs may be made from Mondays to Saturdays between 7am and 930pm.

Hi kay,

Thank you so much for the much needed info. I wanted to subscribe to its rights but not sure how to go about doing so. In your opinion, what do you think of this stock? Would be glad to hear your comments and feedback. Thanks once again.

Hi Barack,

Once again, I have not studied this stock before thus I'm not able to give any comments regarding this.

Hi Kay,

Just a question. What do you think about the stock of ST Eng or the overall economy of sg. will it pick up in the 2nd half of the year?

Thanks for the many wonderful posts!

Gabriel

Hi Gabriel,

Thanks for your compliment. I have not done any analysis on ST Engineering thus I'm not able to offer any advice regarding this counter.

I'm not sure when will the economy pick up but I do think that the worst is already behind us. However, it's not important to know when will the economy pick up with regards to investing in my opinion. By the time the economy picks up, the stock market would have rise too far, making it too expensive for an attractive entry into the stock market.

Regards,
Kay

How about the procedure to apply for "Excess Rights Units" using the ATM? I'm still a bit lost.

Thanks!

Hi a_x,

Thanks for your suggestion. I will try to put up one if I have the time to do so.
